$1,500 Hotel Stay for $50 + Chase Points?! Here’s My Chase Points Stack

How I stacked $500 in Chase Sapphire Reserve® hotel credits with Points Boost to book a $1,551 Omni Mount Washington stay for about $50 plus 40,000 Chase points.

I just found a way to stack up to $500 in Chase Sapphire Reserve® hotel credits with Points Boost and book a $1,551 luxury hotel stay for about $50 out of pocket plus 40,000 Chase points. Here’s exactly how I did it, with my real screenshots, so you can copy it.

The short version: right now, 11 hotels in Chase’s The Edit are running a 2.5X Points Boost. Three of them also qualify for BOTH the up to $250 Edit credit (per prepaid booking) AND the up to $250 Select Hotel credit (2026). That’s up to $500 back on ONE stay, on top of points worth 2.5 cents each when redeemed at one of those properties.

Heads up: this deal is valid as of 10/20/26. Points Boost offers, hotel lists and prices change often, and prices can vary by member and by dates. My example uses Fri, Nov 13 – Sun, Nov 15, 2026.

The 2026 hotel credits on the Chase Sapphire Reserve®

In 2026, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® comes with up to $750 in hotel credits across two benefits. First, there’s up to $500 a year for The Edit, Chase’s luxury hotel collection, which comes as two credits of up to $250 that apply to your first two qualifying stays. Second, there’s a one-time Select Hotel credit of up to $250, available January 1 through December 31, 2026 only, for prepaid stays booked through Chase Travel with a two-night minimum. The Select Hotel credit works at these brands:

  • IHG Hotels & Resorts
  • Montage Hotels & Resorts
  • Pendry Hotels & Resorts
  • Omni Hotels & Resorts
  • Virgin Hotels
  • Minor Hotels
  • Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts

The magic happens when a hotel is in The Edit AND belongs to one of those brands. Then one stay with a two-night minimum can trigger an up to $250 Edit credit plus an up to $250 Select Hotel credit, for up to $500 back. Both credits are calendar-year, so anything left unused after December 31 is gone.

The 11 Edit hotels with 2.5X Points Boost right now

These are the Edit hotels I’m seeing with a 2.5X Points Boost as of 10/20/26. Only three qualify for both the Edit credit and the Select Hotel credit, because they belong to a Select Hotel brand (IHG or Omni).

The other eight are still great Points Boost picks. You’d just get the up to $250 Edit credit instead of both the Edit credit and Select Hotel credit.

My example: Omni Mount Washington Resort

This is just one example of how you can use this stack, but it’s a great one. I searched the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire for Fri, Nov 13 – Sun, Nov 15, 2026 (2 nights, 2 adults) on Chase Travel. Prices can vary depending on your dates and can differ between members, so your numbers may not match mine exactly.

Step 1: Find an Edit hotel with 2.5X Points Boost that qualifies for the 2026 Select Hotel credit

Look for both The Edit and Points Boost tags and the line “Eligible for $250 select hotel credit”. This Omni hotel has all three.

Step 2: Check the price in cash vs. points

Two nights in a Deluxe Room with 2 Queen Beds came out to $1,551 all-in, or 62,036 points with Points Boost (normally 155,090 points). That means my Chase points are worth 2.5 cents each on this booking with Points Boost instead of 1 cent.

Step 3: Add it to your cart

Confirm the dates, room, and that it’s still tagged The Edit and Points Boost. This one also has free cancellation until Fri, Nov 6, 2026.

Step 4: Pay with points AND your card (this is the trick!)

You could book the whole thing for about 62,000 points, but we’re NOT doing that. Instead, I typed in 40,000 points, which covers $1,000 of the stay at 2.5X with Points Boost. That leaves a $550.90 balance on my Chase Sapphire Reserve®, and that cash part is what triggers both hotel credits.

Points redeemed: 40,000 at 2.5x value with Points Boost, balance due $550.90

The math

Amount
Total cost of the stay$1,551
40,000 Chase points at 2.5X−$1,000
Charged to my Chase Sapphire Reserve®$550.90
Up to $250 Edit credit−$250
Up to $250 Select Hotel credit−$250
Final out of pocketabout $50 + 40,000 points

The key is leaving at least $500 on your card so both $250 credits can fully post. Use too many points and you’ll leave credit money on the table.

PLUS you get The Edit benefits

On top of the credits, booking through The Edit unlocks these perks at the Omni Mount Washington:

  • Daily breakfast for 2
  • $100 property credit
  • Room upgrade at check-in, if available
  • Early check-in / late check-out, if available
  • Welcome amenity

Quick reminders before you book

  • Two-night minimum. Both the Edit credit and the Select Hotel credit require a stay of at least two nights.
  • Book prepaid through Chase Travel with your Chase Sapphire Reserve®. The credits post as statement credits.
  • Leave at least $500 on your card. The credits only cover the cash portion, so don’t redeem so many points that your card charge drops under $500.
  • Don’t pay 100% with points. Points-only bookings don’t get the statement credits. You need a Cash + Points booking like mine.
  • Prices vary. Rates change by date and can differ between members. My example is for Fri, Nov 13 – Sun, Nov 15, 2026.
  • Offers change fast. Points Boost hotels and multipliers rotate. This post is valid as of 10/20/26.
  • Use them by December 31, 2026. The Select Hotel credit is a 2026-only benefit, and both credits run on the calendar year. You can book a 2026 stay now for travel in 2027.
  • Cancel and your Edit credit comes back. If you cancel a qualifying stay, Chase returns the Edit credit so you can use it on a new booking.
  • Watch for clawbacks. Chase says it can take a credit back if you close your card within 90 days of receiving it.

Don’t have the Chase Sapphire Reserve® yet?

If you want to try this stack yourself, you’ll need the Chase Sapphire Reserve® to get The Edit credit and the Select Hotel credit.
