🛍️ Step 2: Shop Adidas Through Rakuten
TODAY, Rakuten is offering 20X points at Adidas! 🔥
Rakuten is a free shopping portal that pays you back when you shop online. Most people know it for cash back, but here’s the secret: you can swap that cash back for Amex points. The math is super simple: 1% cash back = 1 Amex point per dollar, so 20X means 20 Amex points per dollar.
💙 How to Set Up Rakuten to Earn Amex Points
- Sign up with my Rakuten link (it’s free!).
- Go to your Rakuten Account Settings and find How You’re Getting Paid.
- Choose Membership Rewards points and log in to Amex to link your account.
- Search Adidas in Rakuten, activate the 20X offer, and click through to adidas.com before you check out.
- You MUST have an Amex card that earns Membership Rewards points (like the Amex Gold, Platinum, Green or Blue Business Plus). A cash-back Amex won’t work.
- For Rakuten, you do NOT have to pay with your Amex at checkout. The card just has to be in your name so Rakuten can deposit the points.
- Points post on Rakuten‘s quarterly payment schedule, so be patient!
- Check Rakuten‘s terms and exclusions for Adidas before you buy.
No Amex card? You can choose Bilt points instead. Link your Rakuten account inside the free Bilt app, then select Bilt Points as your payment method. Bilt Blue status earns 50 points per $1 of cash back; Silver, Gold or Platinum earns 100 points per $1.

When you stack your Amex Offer with Rakuten, you could literally be earning 27X points on your Adidas purchase! Here’s what a $50 order looks like when you pay with an Amex that earns Membership Rewards:
