Lie-Flat Business Class to Europe for About 30,000 Chase Points: How to Use the 30% Avios Bonus

Chase’s 30% transfer bonus to British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus can get you lie-flat business class for about 32,000 points. Here are 3 flights I’d book, how it also unlocks Qatar and Finnair, and how to find the seats.

Hi bestie! If you think 30,000 Chase points can only get you an economy flight, think again. Because this month, around 30,000 Chase points can get you a lie-flat business class seat to Europe. ✈️

Chase just launched a 30% transfer bonus to three Avios airlines: British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus, valid November 1 through December 1, 2026. But what’s really cool is this actually gives you access to two other airlines too: Qatar Airways and Finnair. Here are three business class flights I would book with this bonus, plus more ways to use it and exactly how to find the seats.

The bonus details

  • Chase Ultimate Rewards → British Airways, Iberia or Aer Lingus: 30% bonus
  • Valid: November 1, 2026 through December 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET
  • 1,000 Chase points become 1,300 Avios
  • Chase transfers in increments of 1,000 points (1,000 minimum)
  • You need a Chase card that earns transferable points, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® or Sapphire Reserve®

Bestie rule #1: Always find and confirm your award seat BEFORE you transfer. Chase transfers can’t be undone.

How this bonus also unlocks Qatar and Finnair 🔓

Chase doesn’t transfer to Qatar Airways or Finnair directly. But British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Qatar and Finnair all use Avios, and you can move Avios between them 1:1. So you can transfer your Chase points to British Airways or Iberia with the 30% bonus, then move those Avios to Qatar Airways or Finnair for free.

  • To Qatar: link your accounts and move Avios from British Airways or Iberia using Qatar’s Avios transfer tool.
  • To Finnair: move Avios through the transfer tool on avios.com.
  • Use the same name, birthday and details on every account so transfers go through smoothly.

Number 1: Business class to Spain 🇪🇸

Iberia business class JFK to Madrid: 40,500 Avios vs $3,208 cash. With the 30% Chase bonus, transfer 32,000 Chase points

You can fly Iberia business class from New York (JFK) to Madrid for about 32,000 Chase points plus your taxes and fees. I found this nonstop for 40,500 Avios, and paying cash for that same exact flight would cost over $3,200.

The math: 40,500 ÷ 1.3 = 31,154, so round up to 32,000 Chase points. Transfer them to Iberia and book on iberia.com.

Number 2: Qatar Qsuite 🥂

Qatar Qsuite business class Atlanta to Doha: 70,000 Avios vs $7,171 cash. With the 30% Chase bonus, transfer 54,000 Chase points

Fly the world-famous Qatar Qsuite from Atlanta to Doha nonstop for only 54,000 Chase points plus your taxes and fees. I found it for 70,000 Avios, and the same exact seat can cost over $7,000 in cash.

The math: 70,000 ÷ 1.3 = 53,846, so round up to 54,000 Chase points. Transfer them to British Airways or Iberia, move the Avios to Qatar, and book on qatarairways.com.

Number 3: Business class to Ireland 🍀

Aer Lingus business class JFK to Dublin: 50,000 Avios vs $3,407.50 cash. With the 30% Chase bonus, transfer 39,000 Chase points

Fly Aer Lingus business class from New York (JFK) to Dublin for about 39,000 Chase points plus your taxes and fees. I found this nonstop for 50,000 Avios, and that same seat can cost over $3,400 if you pay out of pocket.

The math: 50,000 ÷ 1.3 = 38,462, so round up to 39,000 Chase points. I found this flight using the Avios reward seat checker. Transfer your points to Aer Lingus and book on aerlingus.com.

More ways to use this bonus 💖

And that’s just the beginning of what you can do with this bonus:

  • Economy to London: British Airways off-peak economy from New York to London can be as low as 25,000 Avios plus about $83 in taxes and fees. With the bonus, that’s only 20,000 Chase points!
  • Finnair business class: move your Avios to Finnair to book its business class to Helsinki and beyond. Heads up, Finnair Avios expire after 18 months with no activity, so only move what you’ll use.
  • Qatar beyond Doha: Qatar Avios open up Qsuite flights through Doha to places like the Maldives, the Middle East and Asia.
  • Short flights: Avios are great for short, nonstop flights, and the 30% bonus makes them an even better deal.
  • Compare programs: British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and Qatar can price the same flight differently in Avios and taxes, so check more than one before you book.

How to find availability 🔎

  1. Use the British Airways Reward Flight Finder (the Avios reward seat checker). On britishairways.com, go to British Airways Club (formerly the Executive Club), then Reward availability, and click “Explore availability.” Search by dates, cities or countries and compare up to three destinations at once to see which days have reward seats on British Airways flights.
  2. Search with Seats.aero. My favorite tool for finding award seats! Use it to spot business class award space, including Qatar Qsuite seats. Sign up with my link here.
  3. Confirm on the airline’s site. Before you transfer, log in to the airline you plan to book with (iberia.com, qatarairways.com, aerlingus.com or britishairways.com) and check the exact Avios price and taxes.

How to transfer

  1. Find and confirm your flight first.
  2. Open a free account with British Airways, Iberia or Aer Lingus (and Qatar or Finnair if you’re booking with them).
  3. Divide the Avios you need by 1.3 and round up to the next 1,000.
  4. Transfer from Chase to British Airways, Iberia or Aer Lingus. Transfers are usually instant, and you’ll see the 30% bonus on the transfer screen.
  5. Move your Avios to Qatar or Finnair if needed, then book!

Bestie tips

  • The bonus ends December 1, 2026, so don’t wait if you’ve found your seat!
  • Award seats like these go fast (some of mine showed only 1 or 2 seats left).
  • Award space and prices change constantly, so the examples above are what I found at the time of writing.
